The US do a lot of harm around the world, however I think the US are not as strong as they think, and will never be. They have not succeeded in their wars, which was planned ahead of 911, and will never do. Instead we are going through a transformation – for the good or the bad – time will show – but it is crucial – we will continue to live, if we change, or we will die, if we continue like to day.
We need justice, freedom, peace and a sustainable society. We need to change the way we understand the world, and our relation to it, our institutions and they way we cooperate and our economy, and the way we are living.
We need real goals, perspectives and values – growth of the economy can’t be our goal, because there are no end, only a massive suicide – you can’t serve two masters at the same time. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
The film War By Other Means (1992) shows how many wars today are not carried out at the barrel of a gun, but by the monetary policies of global banking institutions. Instead of bombs, it has been discovered that debt is a far more powerful weapon to control and maintain the power of global economic interests. It turns out that the “structural-adjustment” policies of neo-liberal economics are even more deadly than nerve gas and many other weapons of war.
